SPRING '08 MEETING Chicago Chapter CLMA Spring Educational Series The 2008 Spring Education Meeting at the Chicago Botanic Gardens was a great success! Our setting could not have been more beautiful and the seminar was very interesting and informative. This year's program was a SMART Lab sponsored by Abbott and was entitled "Impacting Patient Safety from the Laboratory." Our speaker, Suzanne McCall, talked about our role in patient safety, described the problem in a laboratory context, and helped us plan and apply the knowledge to our "real life" situations. This was a great networking experience with many real world challenges and solutions shared by all. 4.0 continuing education credits were awarded for this event.
